Definitely have a bone age test done (they will just x-ray the wrist). Also ask the doctor - there is another blood test that can be done to detect precocious puberty. My daughter had this test at 5 and it showed positive results. We put her on a medication called Pediatric Depot Lupron. It is a monthly injection. You can give it at home or have the dr. give it. It has held her bone age at 10-1/2 since she was 8 and she is now 11 yrs old and growing nicely. It is very important that you ask for these tests NOW. The longer you wait, the more growth that may be lost.Kay
