My daughter had a vaginoplasty 2 or so years ago. They created her vaginal opening and we were sent home with instructions to dilate her 2 times a day. It tapered off for a while, but our surgeon led us to believe that our daughter would almost definitely need surgery when she reached adolescence, and that they could attempt to fix any problems she might be having then. In a way, the dilation seemed futile, knowing that the opening would still stricture requiring additonal surgey. We did not continue the dilation for more than a few weeks.Nicole
