If "often collapse" means a coma. Yes there is such a thing as an adrenal crisis or coma or shock and that is very serious. As Karen described - a CAH can go into a coma, and death if a fever, illness, surgery, vomiting, dehydration, etc and if the extra cortisol is not given. That is why we need to have the injection kit with us at all time. The cortisol is givne three tiems a day but extra (double, or triple and/or the injection is used if ill or fever or vomiting).
