For our salt-wasting kids, it is just replacement and we dont' have the same worries as someone else. Perhaps your doctor could explain to your which of these concerns pertain to your child and which ones don't. It might help figure out if there are any lifestyle changes that might be warranted or eliminate that as a factor all together. HTH!
