First off she is not that short. I have nonclassical CAH late onset and we too are plagued with shortness. I just want to clear that up. We deal with it from puberty but it is there when we are born. After reading you other message and understanding that she is an adult and is classical CAH. The shortness is not something she can change but the facial hair she can. I too have facial hair and I just remove it. She can laser it, wax it, cream it away. I have been removing mine since I was 12. I was told I could not have a child and my husband knew this before he married me. I did have a child but if I hadn't it would not have mattered. She is not meant to be alone. I think she needs to deal with what she can change and deal with what she can't. The facial hair is just a problem you deal with. She might want to post some messages on the late onset, but the questions there are not always anwsered either. I grew up being a tall kid, big chested, facial hair, deep voice and starting puberty at 8 yrs. old. By the age of 14 I was the short kid. She can take medication to slow the facial hair but tell her to just remove it. Is she in high school or college? Tell her to cheer up most of us have very happy lives and learn to cope with our problems. She has to try to be positive and not let the simple things get her down. My best friend is 4'11'' and men love her. she is short because her mother had the mumps while pregnant with her. I'm short and my husband is 6'3'' over a foot taller than me. I'm normal short 5'2" my parents were tall so I grew to fast. I was 5'2" at the age of 10. I want you to know if I had read the board before now I would have answered you. The boards can be a hard place to get answers to questions. This board is for parents and most of their kids are young. I read this board on my way to the CAH late onset board. It might be nice to have an adult board where people with all CAH could get help and answers. God bless you and your friend.
