Help! My daughter, aged 19, perfectly healthy, went to primary care doctor for some medicine for mild acne and also slight facial hair (she's blonde). She really didn't want to go - I pushed her to. Doctor ran some blood tests and said that all was fine except slightly elevated level of cortisol. She sent her to an endocrinologist. They did another blood test and said that her PHE sulfate level was 788 and normal was 360. She has to go back next week for a 24 hour urine analysis and then the next day for a ACTH stimulation test. They said they are looking for possibly nonclassical congenital adrenal hyperplasia or possibly Cushings Disease (which they said she has no symptoms of) or possibly a tumor on or in her kidneys could cause this elevated level. I am a wreck and know nothing about all this. Can anyone provide me with some information on the subject? She has had no previous problems with anything, so how could she have a congenital condition??? Help!Sharon
