Hi Janette, I have a 19 month old with CAH that passes out if he cries too hard. At first the doc told me he was having breath holding episodes, but, that seemed strange to me because he wasn't necessarily holding his breath. Well I think we have found our culprit. He has asthma and I began to notice that he would pass out when is asthma started acting up. We are handling his asthma better now (educating ourselves goes a long way) and he hasn't passed out for quite some months. So the short of it, is that in our case, it isn't related to the CAH.
