You don't hear a lot about 3 Beta HSD any more. I was diagnosed with this rare form about 8 years ago. I did have excess hair and acne problems, but no "mutations" in my genital area. There are new developments in the diagnosis of 3 Beta HSD that might intrest you. The MAGIC foundation publishes a magazine every three months or so, that tells about genetic diseases, and CAH is one of them. A few months ago, Dr. Pang (for Illinois) wrote that any child diagnosed with the 3 Beta HSD form of CAH, should be re-evaluated due to the fact that they (the doctors) don't diagnose it in the same manner that they did in the past.
