Re: Allergies...

Just a note... My daughter was sick a week ago with low grade fever and slight cough and runny nose-I told you we got over that. I thought she might be suffering from allergies so I gave her Benadryl, and low and behold at 7 pm last night she had 101.5 fever. I doubled Cortef, she was not vomiting, but I wanted to get the extra dose in her for good measure. She was acting normal, I gave tylenol and rushed out to get that ear-check device to check for middle ear infections. None of my kids have ever had an ear infection so I didn't know what to look for except tugging at ears, red ears, fever. The ear monitor said she had a low to moderate chance of an ear infection. She ate a healthy dinner and went to bed. This morning, no fever. She is as playful as ever. Her ped is out of town and unreachable until thurs night and I did not feel like giving her life story to another ped who has never seen her. Our ped is ina private practice, and when he goes out of town, a group of doctors take over. It is the strangest thing I have ever seen, and you can be sure we will see him ASAP. Thanks for the advice.
