Generally CAH is an autosomal recessive problem, therefore you carry both defective genes on chromosome 6. The gene defect incidence is about 1 in 50. Therefore a random marriage would give your spouse a 1 in 50 chance of carrying the defective gene. Since 1 in 4 children of such a marriage would inherit the disorder, the approximate risk is 1 in 200. Any children either male or female should be tested early. I don't know if your spouse can be tested easily since there are many gene defect variants to check out, but perhaps a genetics expert or other surfers know for certain. Certainly once the specific gene defect is known within a family, it can be tested for in subsequent pregnancies. Good luck EdwardEdward
