We handle the problem by homeschooling. I'm really glad we are able to. I personally think that homeschooling should be a priority with parents of CAH children if possible. We just finished our first year with our oldest child, so in essence we had no experience. My wife has a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education but I wound up doing 95% of the actual teaching. I just checked our oldest's level compared to the standards of both California and Florida and he is almost at fourth grade level in math and well into second grade in reading. He just turned seven, he would be beginning second grade if in public school. It may be too late to go that route this year, but I would strongly suggest givin it serious consideration for future years.
