Hi all. I´m a mother of a 6 year old boy who has CAH (saltloosing). I´ve been reading your messages on this board and I can see now how little I know about the condition. Can anyone please answer my questions, I would appreciate it very much. What is the difference between a shock and adrenal crisis ? What should I look out for (headaches, stomackaches) to see if something is wrong, and why ? This summer my son passed out after a bad case of diarrea and throwing up and had to be rushed to a hospital for treatment and shots. Was that adrenal crisis? Do you have a kit to give your children a shot in case of crisis, do you carry it with you everywhere you go, do you leave one at school etc. ? When do you have to use these shots? I´m sorry, thats quite a lot of questions, and some of them probably sound stupid to you, but I have a very hard time trying to drag the answers out of my doctor so I turn to you instead.
