Gail, We live about 50 miles north of Albany, N.Y. in Queensbury. We have a 4-year old granddaughter with severe, salt-wasting CAH. We have had a couple serious situations in the past, but she is doing very well at the present. This is the first known case of CAH in our family. My daughter has a cousin on her father's side of the family with a daughter who is lacking the hormone biotin.(unsure of the exact name of the condition). I guess we have some pretty messed up genetics. Thank God there is medicine to replace what their bodies do not produce. Kayleigh's endocrinologist is Linda Riddick from the Albany Medical Center. We take Kayleigh to see her every 3-4 months. Do you have a son or daughter with CAH? How old is he or she? I hope to hear from you soon.
