My daughter who is age 11, has her blood drawn every month. We have found that waiting longer can cause her results to elevate above the threshold causing to fast of growth. The endo sees her every 6 months with the ped making most med adjustment changes. In addition waiting to long can cause the opposite result of her being overly suppressed. The labs usually have a 10 day turn around.
