All the information that the other people have given you is the same information I have been given. I have a daughter with CAH (salt-wasting) born April 18, 1999. We have never been able to get her blood test levels to what they are supposed to be; however she is growing, and developing on a normal schedule. She is in the 75% for weight and 75% for height. She weighs almost 15 pounds. She gets a rather high dose of cortef 1.1cc (7:00 a.m., 3:00pm.m and 11:00 p.m.) additionally she takes a florinef tablet once a day. We were in the hospital two times once for adrenal insufficiency and the other for a UTI (urinary track infection. We were fortunate that she was diagnosed 3 days after she was born. However she was not put on any medication until day 4 and then not enough which caused us to be in the hospital a week later. Yes, the blood test are very hard for both the baby and parents but must be done. Take care of yourself; you need to be strong for your baby!Beth
