I have a 6 year old son with an advanced bone age of 11.2. His bone age advanced 5 years within a one year period. What shocked us was upon finding out his bone age was so advanced. The hospital also said that his last 4 bone ages were misread. I recently learned that many doctors read bone ages by holding the x-ray up to a book to judge the age. There is a place in Chicago that actually measures the x-rays to determine the bone age. I have heard it may take 1-2 months to get your results, but it may be worth it. Cheryl
