Hi, I am glad to hear that your baby is fine. I will try to answer some of your questions. According to my pediatrician, the average weight gain for babies from birth to 6 months is 500 grams per month and height gain is about 2 to 3 cm per month. The baby should tripple her birth weight at 12 months. There is a chart for weight and height to calculate the percentile your baby is on. I do not have the chart now but perhaps some other readers can help you. The calculation for surface area is; take height X weight and divide by 3600 and take square root of that. The recomended dose is 15~18mg/m2. I give my baby 1, 1/2, 1/2 tab of cortef 5mg/day and also 1 1/2 tab of Florinef 0.1mg and 1.5gm of salt. I also give her vitamin supplement and folic acid twice a week. Hope this helps and best of luck to you and your baby...hong.
