Hi From a personal view point, my son had normal salivary and blood levels however his bone age was not controlled. He was on hydrocortisone at the time and when we adjusted the meds to try and deal with the bone age his levels went to pot. His endo has therefore changed him to prednisolone to try and control both. He thinks that Tom is hydrocortisone tolerant now and that is the reason for the change in his response. Apparently a change in prednisolone is common in the mid teens but I guess we were unlucky and needed to change earlier, Tom is 8 and his bone age is 12. We've just had results on his saliva levels and they are normal so we are keeping our fingers crossed that his bone age improves. Our next X ray is probably due in December.
