Re: Some questions!

I am glad it is getting a little easier for you and your daughter. I'll answer what questions I can. 1) growth chart - we have used two growth charts, one is for height and one is for weight. One has 2 axis, one for age and one for height. The other has 2 axis, one for age and one for weight. Lines are drawn on them to show different growth curves (i.e. 5%, 25%, 75%). We plot my son's height (or weight) for his age and see if it follows one of the curves. The growth charts are one way to see if a child has any big jumps in growth. For example, if a child was following the 25% line on the height chart and all of the sudden jumped to the 95% this could mean he wasn't getting enough Cortef to supress his adrenal glands. Maybe someone on this board could scan in a growth chart for you. We don't have a scanner. I found his charts in a book. 2) We haven't given my son any extra vitamins. 3) constipation - my son became very constipated when he started solid food. I don't know if your baby is on any food or not, but if she is, maybe that is part of the problem. Rice cereal, bananas, and applesauce are constipating. Plums, prunes, peaches, and juice help ease constipation. My son was very constipated for about a month while he adjusted to solids. I started to give him lots of prunes and plums and it cleared up. I also stayed away from rice cereal and fed him oatmeal instead. Hope that helps. Take care.
