My seven year old daughter was diagnosed with CAH at birth. She is salt wasting, so she takes Florinef (1/2 pill ea. day) along with her Cortef (total of 2 1/2 ea. day). Luckily, we have never experienced any serious problems (i.e. illness etc...) with her. My only concern at this point is her weight. She is quite a bit overweight. Several months ago when I was at her Endrocrin. appointment I requested to see a dietician. One was available and came in and talked to us. She suggested we cut out extra milk, eat more fruits etc. I already had my daughter on non-fat milk and a pretty healthy diet. My little one is still putting on the weight. Has anyone else experienced this? What are you doing to help with the weight? Is it related to her dosages of medication? Please help, I am VERY concerned for my daughter. Thanks, PriscillaPriscilla
