Re: Bone age x-rays

I am posting this again, as the first time AOL logged me off in the middle of "submit message". We took our nine month old son to the endo yesterday, for the first time in Indiana. He told us to get an x-ray of his wrist or hand for the bone age. The x-ray technician explained that, a day under two, the whole side is taken, a day over two years, and just the wrist, or hand, is taken. 17-OHP, plasma renin, and metabolic screen were also ordered. They agressively follow CAH patients, seeing them every three months, for testing and monitoring. I think this is the way to go, and, as parents, we need to agressively monitor this board for other parents' experiences and insights, and to be the best advocates for our children (and ourselves if you are a CAH patient). Good luck, Nicole, just keep asking questions, and seeking answers.
