ABSOLUTELY take the solu-cortef everywhere you go. Last summer I was out walking with my kids and my 3 year CAH son was stung by a bee for the first time. We were 3 miles from home and without a car. I ran to the nearest payphone and called my endo who said to get stress dose of cortef in him right away. I had to call a cab to get us home. I was so scared, now I carry a plastic baggie with 2 vials ( I have 2 CAH kids) 4 syringes, alchohol pads, band-aids everywhere. I can throw it in my purse too. God forbid I were in a car accident, paramedics may not have solu-cortef and I would have it plus written instuctions. It may seem like a pain, but one day it may mean the difference between saving your child's life or not.
