Our son has been in the beginnings of an adrenal crisis two times in the past 2 months. The first times was at the MAGIC convention in late July. The last time was 3 weeks ago at daycare. Here is the scary part... The daycare called my husband to say our son had thrown up, but got his voice-mail. They also called me at work. I began stressing because they could not find my husband(he works 1 1/2 blocks away from our son's daycare). I called his office and had him paged. They said he had gone over to daycare to pick up our son. In a matter of minutes our son was lethargic , turning pale and his lips were blue. My husband took him to his office to administer the Solu-Cortef and to call the Endo. SO YES!!! ALWAYS have Solu-Cortef with you. You do not know how fast or when these kids may CRASH. This was the fastest our son had ever crashed(he is 10 months old). The Solu-Cortef helped but he threw up again at the ped's office and was admitted to the hospital for dehydration. He had to stay for 24 hours for re-hydration and observation. Anyway, we never go anywhere without the emergency instructions from the MAGIC foundation or the Solu-Cortef injection. Hope this helps!Michele
