Hi Mistie In response to you applying for SSI, I can't see any reason why you should not be able to get it. I never knew at the time my child was diagnosed with CAH that he would be eligible. One day my sister had mentioned something about it and I decided to apply. All I did was gather the information, such as medical records an sent them in. I can't remember how long it took to become eligible maybe a month or longer. It does depend on your income. In wisconsin it is gross wages $2,000 a month. So good luck and appeal if you have to. I know everything we've gone through the last ten years we would have never been able to afford this.
