This last time we stress dosed,our Endo said we could have blood work done 48-72 hours after stress dosing was stopped if we were really worried. The Cortef was not really the problem because he would have used what he needed and used up all the extra meds.They would have cleared the body by then. I think the reason we waited was that our son was in a "stress" situation and the doctor wanted him to settle down a little before checking labs. Maybe his body would have still shown altered levels due to the stress. We agreed with our Endo to wait at least two weeks after our "stress incidents" before doing labs. I am just guessing but feel free to talk to your Endo about this for specifics. I am sure they will al have a different philosophy on the subject, but it all made sense to me!
