Debbi: I am sorry, but I am unfamiliar with this new alternative medication you are talking about. What is it? How has it been used/tested so far? My daughter did not start gaining excessive weight until she was about 4 years old. It sounds like some people do experience weight gain, while others don't. Hopefully your son won't. But if you see it happening, I imagine it would be easier to nip in the bud, than try to deal with it a little down the road as I am.
