There is a study where they give flutamide in addition to the cortef and florinef. The flutamide, if remember correctly, is used to keep the testosterone down and allows the child to take only the minimum amount of cortef. It is when the cortef is taken at higher doses to control everything that weight and growth can be effected. The flutamide does have its drawbacks. It can effect the liver and it has to be tested periodically. So, I would not htink it is a long term solution. I have not heard of many who have their children taking this drug.....and it they are, they don't say much aobut it here.
