I haven't applied for SSI since I assume my husband and I make too much money but I certainly will look into it since we've just bought a house. Another thing you might look into, which we have in Ohio is to go through your local Welfare office (Medicaid ODHS in Ohio). They have a program that we qualify for called Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps. Fortunately I have good insurance through work, but this program even covers my co-pay and alot of other "perks". Good Luck! Bonnie
