Carla, Your granddaughter is very lucky to have Linda Riddick as her endocrinologist. My granddaughter Kayleigh was born in Glens Falls Hospital 4 years ago. She was transferred to Albany Med. within hours. The ambiguous genitalia was what told the midwife there was a serious problem. The pediatrician did not mention CAH at all. My daughter was only 19 years old at the time and was devastated when she was told her daughter Kayleigh had salt-wasting CAH. We had never heard of this condition before that time. Jamie has turned out to be an excellent mother, and Kayleigh is a wonderful child. If you or your daughter would like to talk to my daughter Jamie or myself, e-mail me, and I will give you our phone number. If you mention Jamie and Kayleigh Miller to Dr. Riddick or her nurse Cheryl, I'm sure she will tell you about them. Jamie is in the process of moving to a new apartment right now, so it may be easier to contact her through me. The first few months are the most difficult. You have a good endocrinologist for your granddaughter. We have a lot of faith in her. I wish you and you family much luck.Donna Broe
