I am a single parent of two boys, one with CAH the other not affected. I have applied for SSI and have been denied, they said it was because his condition is not life threating. What do a bunch of Beuracrats know? I am in the process of re-applying, knowing that a little extra money was coming in every month sure would make life a little easier.
