Hi Rebecca, I sure hope you will hear from some adults who have had surgery recently. It's a big decision and one that is individual to each person. Since you said you have read accounts on the web, you may already know about www.isna.org. I just wanted to let you know that we found the bibliography listing on their website very helpful. We have decided to postpone surgery for our 2 year old daughter. From the ISNA bibliography list, we did quite a bit of research at the University Hospital Library in our state. They had most of the medical journals with articles about current surgery techniques. We also contacted a noted psychologists who works with children who have CAH and other conditions that affect childrens genitals. Gathering research helped and ultimately, we prayed and looked in our hearts to come to our decision on our daughters behalf. I wish you the best.
