Hi, I wrote about a week ago to ask about tests for CAH children. Thanks for all the answers given. I have some of the results now and would like to know if they are good. We did the electrolytes, cortisol level and the plasma renin tests but the results for the renin is not available yet. Sodium - 141.2 MMOL/L, Potassium - 4.23 MMOL/L, Chloride - 107.4 MMOL/L, Urea - 2.3 MMOL/L, and Cortisol - 642.6nmol/L According to the ped. endo the cortisol level is too high and she reduced YuJing's cortisone to 7.5mg/day from 10mg/day. She refused to explain why and how she derived that and asked us to just follow her instructions! Having done for the last 5 days, YuJing's appetite was bad, vomitted 4 times, becomes moody and had very cold & clammy feet and hands. Could it be due to lack of cortisone? I have a bad feeling about reducing her cortisone but do not want her growth to be stunted as well! Can someone pls share with me what are the "good" levels for all the elements tested? YuJing is 9 months old and salt wasting. Thank you for reading this and best regards...hong.hong
