Tom, thanks for sharing your story. I hope Elliot is doing much better now. My question is if Elliot is a salt waster. My daughter is not and while we have had two instances where we had to administer Solu-Cortef, she was not as sick as Elliot seemed to be. She was lethargic, but responded well to the Solu-Cortef and was never hospitalized. We took her to the pediatrician's office for observation after giving the shot and conferring with the endo. I am wondering if she is likely to ever experience such an episode as Elliot's since she is not a salt waster. It is so scarey. Even now, my daughter is 11 and was diagnosed 8 years ago (should have been at birth - signs were there and doctors would not listen to me!), it is still scarey to me and sometimes I wonder if we have just been lucky so far.
