Prednisone is a steroid, you are taking it to replace what your body doesn't make. You will have to have blood draws done to check your levels & make sure you are getting enough & not too much. It would be a good idea to wear a Medic-Alert ID stating your condition & that you take steroids. Don't be afraid to ask your doctors questions, and if they don't treat you with the respect you deserve, then don't be afraid to find a different one.
