Re: DIET OF A 6 YEAR OLD WITH CAH

Like Priscilla, our non-CAH 7-yr-old daughter is very lean, while our 5-yr-old CAH daughter is SOLID (pushing 60 lbs and lots of muscle!). Oddly enough, though, it's the older, non-CAH with a GREAT appetite. Our CAH daughter would completely skip breakfast if I let her....move onto a little bit of lunch and MAYBE a good dinner. Her tall, lean older sister can eat 3 bowls of oatmeal and 2 bowls of Cheerios for breakfast, yogurt and hard-boiled eggs for lunch and a good dinner....and is slender as a rail.....how I envy that metabolism! I make sure they take natural, whole-food vitamins (vitamins that actually have real food as a base, like spinach, brown rice, etc.) They're wonderful and my children RARELY get colds...or even a runny nose. They're available at a vitamin store and come in fruity chewable tablets...and the girls love them. :)
