i just found this message board and only tonight read your message. our grandson is now 6 years old, (salt-wasting CAH)my daughter had a terrible time with him eating when he was 8 months - 1 year. finally out of desperation, (we had no endo md here that was familiar with infant cah) she took him to ny to dr. maria new. he looked like a child starved. he ate some, but not near enought. the problem with him was that the liquid medications that he was being given by the local md here was not being absorbed in his little system but lying in his stomach and giving him the feeling of being full all the time. not only was he not getting his needed medicine for his cah, he was not getting nourishment since he did not feel hungry and would not eat. after finding out what was happening, he was taken off the liquid forms of all his medicines and my daughter got the medicine in pill form and crushed all of them and put them in applesauce and spoon feed all his medicine to him until he was five years old when he could start swallowing his pills.
