There seems to be differences among endos when it comes to what to do when vomiting, and what to do when having diarrhea. Would other people please share what their endos say about in these two situations? Thanks. One endo I talked to said go to the ER when vomiting for one hour (let the ER give IV hydrocortisone), and another said go to the ER when vomiting for 4-6 hours and won't hold down fluids at all (but give IM if at usual dose time). I have not heard any endos say to go to the ER with diarrhea only - they seem to think to just give pedialyte & treat at home, but if vomit, go immediately to the ER.
