Toddler injuries; when to stress dose
10/22/99 9:53 PM
I have a 10 1/2 month old, salt losing CAH child, who cut the inside of his lip while playing. While comforting him, he appeared to doze off, but, it was bedtime. We put him down, to bed, and I am wondering whether to stress dose him for 24 hours following such a minor injuries. I cannot find the posting about this subject posted a few months back. Any suggestions? We gave him triple the dose right after it occured, and think that we may for the next 24 hours. When bleeding is a "more than a scratch" I seemed to remember reading that a triple dose is needed, but I don't know for how long. Please help. Thanks, Jennifer
