My wife(Tricia) and I have a two week old daughter(Amanda) who was diagnosed as a CAH salt waster. In reading the message board we noticed the words stress dose and are wondering which medication this pertains to. She currently receives Florinef 1X daily and Cortef 3X daily. Is Cortef considered the stress dose medication??? Please help as we are trying to learn as much as possible in a short time. She was born 4 weeks early and the doctors said she would sleep alot but we are wondering how to differentiate her sleeping habits between being a premie and having CAH. Does excessive sleeping constitute a stress dose at this point? When shes awake shes pretty active with her eyes, hands and feet. Any response is appreciated. THANK YOU
