Vomiting -- How long do you have to keep Cortef down?

We have asked 5 different Drs. and gotten 5 different answers. SOme have said if he keeps it down 10 minutes, no need to remedicate; others have said 1 hour. What have you been told? How many times do you try to remedicate before egiving injection?
