Hello, Does you wife have classical or nonclassical CAH? I can only speak for nonclassical (late onset) I did conceive on my own in 6 months and with most none CAH people it takes a year. I think anything over a year you need to talk to someone. I used the CM method and an ovulation kit. I only ovulated 3 times in 6 months and the last time I got a hit. I was not on any medication but this time I will be on Cortef till we find out if it's a girl or boy. If it's a girl I will stay on Corfet so my levels of andgrens do not effect her, if it's a boy I will go off as I did last time because I can not hurt a boy and I find no need to expose a child (even if I need it). You need to find out if you are a carrier also, that can make a big difference in the medication that she takes while pregnant and before. I also took vitamin B complex and prenatals while trying to conceive. One thing to remember is you only have 12 hours to conceive and that is hard to catch I know it seems easy with all the people who get pregnant by mistake but remember stress can play a part in that and if she is stressing out about not getting pregnant she could hurt the process. Good Luck and God Bless. Keep working at it at least that part is fun. susan
