Febrile Seizure and CAH

My 17 mos daughter had to go into emergency last week. I woke her from an abnormally long afternoon nap to find she had a fever of 102.5 and seemed lethargic and still very sleepy. Called endo and he said to take her to ped to see if she may have ear infection, etc. The ped sent me home, said to give Infants Tylenol for fever and return next day to see if there was a change. I had her sleep with me and gave Tylenol and fluids every 4 hrs through the night. Fell asleep with her at 7 am and awoke at 8 am to find her completely stiff beside me and making slight moaning sound. Gave her a stress dose injection and rushed her to E.R. - she had a temp of 103.3 when we got there and they said it appeared to have been a febrile seizure. Now the ped thinks it may have been something else because she remained stiff for about 10-15 min and febrile seizures usually last under 5 min and child will convulse. She had no convulsions - just stiff. Has this happened to anyone else and what was the treatment? I am concerned that it may have been something other than febrile seizure and the ped says just to see if it happens again and then they will do a brain scan. I'm not sure if I should go along with that or demand a brain scan now. Any help?
