Will "Ferberizing" stress CAH infant?

Our 6 month old son has CAH. Our endo still isn't clear on whether or not he is a salt waster or not. He's on Florinef, Sodium Chloride and Hydrocortizone nonetheless and does well daily. We thank God he's never had a fever, or crisis even despite having a small bout with pneumonia recently. (We've never been taught how to give an injection..should we learn?) The baby sleeps very lightly and since I breastfeed, he's slept with my husband and me since birth. My husband is a graduate student and I work full time and we have been exhausted since he was born. He nurses, squirms and cries often through the night. Although it we are glad to be able to check on him so readily through the night to make sure he's OK.. we need sleep!! Has anyone tried the Ferberizing technique on a CAH child? Will he cry so hard he'll need stress doses? Or should we continue having him in our bed for his health's sake? Please help.... Thanks in advance Marla
