First of all....YES! learn to do an injection. We haven't had to yet.....thank God...but there may be a time that you will be the only one available to give the injection. Family-bed-wise: they are young for such a short time. Our two girls are now 7 and 5 years old....and I stressed over whether or not to let them sleep with us when they were little. My husband was the one who said, "You know....it seems like a big deal now....but I know there will soon come a day when they won't want to even hang around us...let alone sleep in bed with us!" And here we are.....they DO reach a time when they simply would rather be in their own bed...and it seems like eons ago that I stressed about whether or not I was damaging their psyche or independence. (HA!) We'll never forget the looks on their faces as they were snuggling down in the bed when they were in with us....complete security...not a care in the world. All babies should have that feeling. If it makes YOU more comfortable at all, by all means, keep the baby with you!! Lord knows for right now, he couldn't dream of a more secure, loving place.Karen
