I'm very confused about what you are saying. How could they diagnose her as a carrier and not know if she has it? you are right in the fact that both parents have to be a carrier of the gene for her to have it, but she could be a carrier if only one parent is a carrier or has CAH. Most doctors would test for the disorder not just to see if she's a carrier. I don't know about all but most of us with nonclassical (late onset) CAH do not have ambiguous genitalia we only know because of early puberty and growing fast in height. I think you need to worry more about her getting tested, because if she has this you need to start treatment now. If she has CAH than you can conclude both parents are carriers. If your husband is a carrier and you are not, than your child might be a carrier but may not have this. Most carriers show little of the signs of this disorder if any. My mother shows no signs but is a carrier. I would find a new doctor or someone willing to help you. I hope this has helped. I hope she gets the help of a good doctor and doesn't have to wait till she's older like most of us. God bless you and good luck.susan
