Two of our three children have CAH. Our daughter had surgery when she was three and one half months old. The surgeon had told us that the surgery could be done as soon as the endocrinologist felt she was stable enough to handle it. We were scheduled to be in the hospital 5 days and only needed to stay for two. She did very well and the surgery was a complete success. She needs no further surgery. It does get easier. For our daughter, our first child, the first year and a half were crazy. With our son, life was already much calmer before his first birthday. Now, CAH is just a part of our daily lives and life is pretty "normal". Where are you located? We are in PA and love the surgeon. E-mail me if I can help in any way. CEOMom82828aol.comconcerned mom
