My 11 yr old daughter is also is not a salt waster. She was diagnosed at 3 yrs of age. She takes Hydrocortisone and Florinef. We added the Florinef when she was 5 for 2 reasons. 1. Combined with the Cortef she was taking at the time we were able to control her bone age better. 2. Even though she is not a salt waster, in times of serious illness non-salt wasters can still lose enough salt to become a salt waster temporarily and go into crisis. You are the only other person I know of whose child takes Florinef but is diagnosed a non-salt waster.
