Hi Maggy, I agree with the other people who posted a response on this subject. You are lucky that they diagnosed him so quickly. I have a 15 month old boy with salt wasting CAH, and we live in California, and here the CAH test is not part of the newborn screening. It wasn't till he was so close to dying that they figured out what was wrong with him. I do thank God for saving him. As far as it all goes, it does get easier. It just becomes part of your everyday routine. As long as he is taking his meds and is being properly monitored he will be fine. The first couple of months are trying, because you are just trying to figure it all out. But once it is all figured out it will be second nature for you. I wish you the best, take care. Kym P.
