Re: Was this a crisis?!?!

It sounds to me like you had a crisis. When my son was first diagnosed, he had been lethargic all day, just wanted to sleep, would not eat or drink and we had no wet or messy diapers. One of the first things we learned before my son left the neonatal intensive care unit was to learn to how to inject the Solu-Cortef. I can't imagine your doctor not wanting to teach you how to do this. What if your child could not take the stress dose orally? I think I would push your doctor to teach you how. It is not hard to learn. Mentally, it is hard only because it's a needle stick. (I think it hurts me more to give it to him than it is for him to get it.)
