I hate to say it, but I read somewhere that Flourocortisone can possibly lead to glaucoma. My endo told me to give ½ and ½ to avoid shock to the system because it is such a "violent" hormonal drug (he speaks french... not sure what the english equivalent would be for his term). I am actually going to ask him on the next vist whether I should give 1/4 on a pill four times a day. I think all parents should question their doctors on each drug that is given. Why is it given? What does it do? What are the side effects? Is there long term damage associated with the drug?
